ok storytime. you know how you should stretch but you literally don't. and your back is filing complaints. and your physio has given up on you. and you stand up after 3 hours of doom scrolling looking like a question mark. we built an app for that. it's called stiff. the shrimp is judgmental. you've been warned. HOW IT WORKS (it's unhinged, stay with me) 1. you pick the apps that are wrecking your spine. instagram. tiktok. you know who you are. 2. you set a daily limit 3. you exceed it (you will, that's the point) 4. those apps get blocked 5. the only way to unblock them is to stretch for 2 minutes 6. there is no negotiating with the shrimp. it has logged your behavior. it has notes. WHAT IT ACTUALLY DOES blocks selected apps when you exceed your screen time limit. unblock them by completing a guided 2-minute stretch verified by your camera. earn rewards. collect shrimps. fix your posture. THE NAMING THING (this is the part that breaks people) during onboarding you name your shrimp. then you name yourself. then you optionally give your full name. so when you skip a stretch your shrimp goes: "alexandra marie chen. we need to talk." it hits different when it knows your whole name. we did this on purpose. we are not sorry. THE COLLECTION (the dopamine pipeline) every stretch earns shrimp points. shrimp points buy draws. draws unlock cards from a 33-shrimp collection across 5 rarity tiers — common, uncommon, rare, epic, legendary. some shrimps are streak-locked. some are nearly impossible to pull. all of them have something to say. the legendary shrimps haunt you. you want them. that's the point. WHAT IT IS a stretch app for people who hate stretch apps a screen time blocker that has Opinions more accountability than you asked for literally just doing what your physio said but with consequences WHAT IT IS NOT another wellness app (we're not like that) a habit tracker (those don't know you like we do) your friend (the shrimp has expectations) PRIVACY everything stays on your device. no accounts. no servers. no data sold. apple's family controls handles the screen time stuff which means we literally cannot see which apps you blocked. we just count them and the shrimp makes assumptions. PRICING 7-day free trial. then it's a paid subscription. cancel anytime in settings. the shrimp will be disappointed but understand. (it won't understand. it will file a complaint.) we made this app to hold ourselves accountable and now you can be held accountable too. welcome bestie. the shrimp has been waiting. Mr. Shrimp is an app that helps you remember yourself in the middle of a busy workday. If you spend a lot of time at a computer, it’s easy to get caught up in work and go for hours without noticing that you haven’t moved. A short 2–3 minute warm-up is a chance to look away from the screen, move a little, and shift your attention from tasks back to yourself. The warm-ups don’t require any equipment or special preparation. You can do them at home or in the office, sitting or standing. In the app: • short warm-ups for your neck, shoulders, and upper back • animated characters you can follow along with • seated and standing warm-ups • choice of duration and format • music and sound cues • movement reminders • “Days in Motion” and activity history • levels and rewards • monthly challenges Mr. Shrimp is not a fitness program or a workout focused on performance. There’s no need to count calories, close rings, or set aside an hour for exercise. It’s a few minutes in your workday that you can keep for yourself.
