# DietCam vs Sharp

The clearest difference is ads: DietCam at none against Sharp's shown. Sharp's advantage is update cadence (every 3 days vs every 5 days) and iOS requirement (15.5 vs 17.0). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. DietCam sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days and Sharp sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

DietCam ships an update every 5 days, Sharp every 3 days. The most recent releases landed on October 15, 2026 and October 18, 2026 respectively.
