# BlockRot vs FluentMode

The clearest difference is update cadence: BlockRot at daily against FluentMode's fortnightly. FluentMode's advantage is iOS requirement (16.0 vs 18.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. BlockRot sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $7.99 per 7 days and FluentMode sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $3.49 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

BlockRot ships an update daily, FluentMode fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 20, 2026 and September 26, 2026 respectively.
