# Grape vs BookSnippet

The clearest difference is update cadence: Grape at every 2 days against BookSnippet's every 10 days. Grape also leads on device support (3 vs 1) and iOS requirement (15.1 vs 17.0). On price, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Grape sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $19.00 per month and BookSnippet sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Grape ships an update every 2 days, BookSnippet every 10 days. The most recent releases landed on October 3, 2026 and October 13, 2026 respectively.
