# DeniedPixels vs RPG Pocket

The clearest difference is rating: DeniedPixels at 4.6 against RPG Pocket's 3.9. DeniedPixels also leads on ratings volume (46 vs 9). RPG Pocket's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 4) and review sentiment (75% vs 64%). On price, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. DeniedPixels sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. RPG Pocket asks for nothing beyond the download.

DeniedPixels holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 3.9. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: DeniedPixels has 46 ratings behind it against 9, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 64% of DeniedPixels's written reviews are positive against 75% of RPG Pocket's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

DeniedPixels ships an update every 10 days, RPG Pocket weekly. Both last shipped on October 31, 2026.
