# Walkfare vs StepHive

The clearest difference is ads: StepHive at none against Walkfare's shown. StepHive also leads on iOS requirement (17.0 vs 26.0). Walkfare's advantage is update cadence (every 2 days vs fortnightly). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Walkfare sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month and StepHive sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Walkfare ships an update every 2 days, StepHive fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 13, 2026 and October 7, 2026 respectively.
