# ScriptPad vs Draw Chinese

The clearest difference is update cadence: Draw Chinese at every 2 days against ScriptPad's monthly. On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. ScriptPad sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Draw Chinese sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

ScriptPad ships an update monthly, Draw Chinese every 2 days. The most recent releases landed on October 25, 2026 and October 14, 2026 respectively.
