# ScriptPad vs Picabulary

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Picabulary at none against ScriptPad's 1. Picabulary also leads on update cadence (every 4 days vs monthly). ScriptPad's advantage is device support (3 vs 1) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 18.0). On price and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. ScriptPad sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Picabulary asks for nothing beyond the download.

ScriptPad ships an update monthly, Picabulary every 4 days. The most recent releases landed on October 6, 2026 and October 9, 2026 respectively.
