# Dualsy vs Format Finder

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Format Finder at 50% against Dualsy's 5%. Format Finder also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 6). Dualsy's advantage is rating (4.3 vs 3.9) and ratings volume (301 vs 8). On price, update cadence, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Dualsy sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. Format Finder asks for nothing beyond the download.

Dualsy holds the better App Store score, 4.3 against 3.9. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Dualsy has 301 ratings behind it against 8, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 5% of Dualsy's written reviews are positive against 50% of Format Finder's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Dualsy ships an update every 3 days, Format Finder every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on October 18, 2026 and October 6, 2026 respectively.
