# Conway's Cells vs Aphelion

The clearest difference is update cadence: Aphelion at every 2 days against Conway's Cells's monthly. On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Conway's Cells sells 3 one-off in-app purchases and Aphelion sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Conway's Cells ships an update monthly, Aphelion every 2 days. Both last shipped on October 28, 2026.
