# Hear Boost vs FlexBoard

The clearest difference is update cadence: FlexBoard at every 8 days against Hear Boost's every 2 weeks. Hear Boost's advantage is iOS requirement (18.0 vs 26.5). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Hear Boost sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per 7 days and FlexBoard sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Hear Boost ships an update every 2 weeks, FlexBoard every 8 days. The most recent releases landed on October 1, 2026 and October 6, 2026 respectively.
