# StepTeddy vs Trot

The clearest difference is ads: StepTeddy at none against Trot's shown. StepTeddy also leads on iOS requirement (17.0 vs 26.0). Trot's advantage is update cadence (fortnightly vs every 2 months). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. StepTeddy sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month and Trot sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

StepTeddy ships an update every 2 months, Trot fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 13, 2026 and October 11, 2026 respectively.
