# Scroll Scripture vs devo

The clearest difference is ads: devo at none against Scroll Scripture's shown. devo also leads on review sentiment (90% vs 60%). Scroll Scripture's advantage is ratings volume (1.1K vs 38) and update cadence (every 2 days vs weekly). On price, rating, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Scroll Scripture sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per 7 days and devo sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.8 for Scroll Scripture against 4.8 for devo. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Scroll Scripture has 1.1K ratings behind it against 38, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 60% of Scroll Scripture's written reviews are positive against 90% of devo's.

Scroll Scripture ships an update every 2 days, devo weekly. Both last shipped on October 31, 2026.
