# MaxStudy vs Yalla

The clearest difference is rating: MaxStudy at 5.0 against Yalla's 3.9. MaxStudy also leads on ads (none vs shown) and device support (3 vs 1). Yalla's advantage is ratings volume (40 vs 4). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. MaxStudy sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per 7 days and Yalla sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $12.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

MaxStudy holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 3.9. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Yalla has 40 ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly weekly. The most recent releases landed on November 5, 2026 and November 6, 2026 respectively.
