# Lightbox Trace vs Studio Grid

The clearest difference is update cadence: Studio Grid at every 5 days against Lightbox Trace's every 11 days. Lightbox Trace's advantage is iOS requirement (15.6 vs 17.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Lightbox Trace sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per 7 days and Studio Grid sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Lightbox Trace ships an update every 11 days, Studio Grid every 5 days. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
