# Friend Rex vs Cinecase

The clearest difference is rating: Friend Rex at 5.0 against Cinecase's 4.4. Cinecase's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (every 3 days vs every 8 days). On price, ratings volume, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Friend Rex sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $6.99 per month and Cinecase sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Friend Rex ships an update every 8 days, Cinecase every 3 days. The most recent releases landed on October 23, 2026 and October 7, 2026 respectively.
