# AirShell vs Machete DGX

The clearest difference is update cadence: Machete DGX at every 2 weeks against AirShell's every 6 weeks. Machete DGX also leads on iOS requirement (15.0 vs 17.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. AirShell sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per month and Machete DGX sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $12.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
