# Stego vs TapMask

The clearest difference is update cadence: TapMask at every 3 weeks against Stego's every 6 months. Stego's advantage is device support (3 vs 1). On price, ads, in-app purchases and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Stego sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and TapMask sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Stego ships an update every 6 months, TapMask every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 25, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
