# Habit Tracker vs DayCast

The clearest difference is update cadence: DayCast at every 5 days against Habit Tracker's monthly. DayCast also leads on device support (4 vs 2) and iOS requirement (18.0 vs 26.2). On price, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Habit Tracker sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and DayCast sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Habit Tracker ships an update monthly, DayCast every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
