# StepNova vs PRJournal

The clearest difference is update cadence: PRJournal at daily against StepNova's every 5 days. StepNova's advantage is device support (3 vs 1) and iOS requirement (18.0 vs 26.1). On price, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. StepNova sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month and PRJournal sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

StepNova ships an update every 5 days, PRJournal daily. The most recent releases landed on September 23, 2026 and October 9, 2026 respectively.
