# NoneKnows vs Beacon

The clearest difference is update cadence: NoneKnows at daily against Beacon's every 3 weeks. NoneKnows also leads on iOS requirement (15.1 vs 26.0). Beacon's advantage is ratings volume (7 vs 1). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 5.0 for NoneKnows against 5.0 for Beacon. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Beacon has 7 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

NoneKnows ships an update daily, Beacon every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 16, 2026 and October 6, 2026 respectively.
