# MonkeyLock vs DoomShield

The clearest difference is ads: MonkeyLock at none against DoomShield's shown. DoomShield's advantage is update cadence (every 4 days vs every 10 days). On price, in-app purchases, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. MonkeyLock sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $64.99 per year and DoomShield sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

MonkeyLock ships an update every 10 days, DoomShield every 4 days. The most recent releases landed on October 6, 2026 and October 2, 2026 respectively.
