# SPECTRAL vs GhostLab

The clearest difference is rating: SPECTRAL at 5.0 against GhostLab's 4.5. SPECTRAL also leads on iOS requirement (15.0 vs 17.0). GhostLab's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (every 2 days vs every 4 days). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. SPECTRAL sells 11 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month and GhostLab sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

SPECTRAL holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: GhostLab has 15 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two.

SPECTRAL ships an update every 4 days, GhostLab every 2 days. The most recent releases landed on October 13, 2026 and October 10, 2026 respectively.
