# QuickTerminal vs Treft

The clearest difference is ads: Treft at none against QuickTerminal's shown. Treft also leads on update cadence (every 5 days vs every 6 weeks). QuickTerminal's advantage is device support (4 vs 1) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 18.0). On price and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. QuickTerminal sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per year and Treft sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $29.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

QuickTerminal ships an update every 6 weeks, Treft every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on October 15, 2026 and October 9, 2026 respectively.
