# QuickRemote vs Scry

The clearest difference is rating: Scry at 5.0 against QuickRemote's 1.0. Scry also leads on ads (none vs shown) and ratings volume (3 vs 1). QuickRemote's advantage is device support (4 vs 2) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 17.0). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. QuickRemote sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per year and Scry sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Scry holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 1.0. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 1 and 3 respectively.

QuickRemote ships an update fortnightly, Scry every 10 days. The most recent releases landed on October 15, 2026 and October 5, 2026 respectively.
