# State vs Waylapse

The clearest difference is ads: State at none against Waylapse's shown. Waylapse's advantage is update cadence (daily vs every 3 weeks). On price, in-app purchases, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. State sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $7.99 per month and Waylapse sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

State ships an update every 3 weeks, Waylapse daily. The most recent releases landed on October 25, 2026 and October 29, 2026 respectively.
