# VPN vs Secure

The clearest difference is review sentiment: VPN at 100% against Secure's 50%. VPN also leads on ads (none vs shown). Secure's advantage is update cadence (every 2 days vs every 3 months) and device support (3 vs 1). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. VPN sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per 7 days and Secure sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $2.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

VPN ships an update every 3 months, Secure every 2 days. The most recent releases landed on October 28, 2026 and October 29, 2026 respectively.
