# ForeignReader vs Parallèle Reader

The clearest difference is update cadence: ForeignReader at every 2 weeks against Parallèle Reader's every 3 months. Parallèle Reader's advantage is iOS requirement (18.6 vs 26.2). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. ForeignReader sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $2.99 per month and Parallèle Reader sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
