# JourneyCanvas vs Trip Notes

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: JourneyCanvas at none against Trip Notes's 1. Trip Notes's advantage is update cadence (every 3 days vs every 3 weeks) and iOS requirement (17.0 vs 26.2). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Trip Notes sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. JourneyCanvas asks for nothing beyond the download.

JourneyCanvas ships an update every 3 weeks, Trip Notes every 3 days. The most recent releases landed on October 25, 2026 and October 29, 2026 respectively.
