# Mobile Security vs App Lock

The clearest difference is update cadence: App Lock at every 2 weeks against Mobile Security's every 4 months. On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Mobile Security sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $9.99 per 7 days and App Lock sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Mobile Security ships an update every 4 months, App Lock every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 28, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
