# HexPN vs V2 VPN

The clearest difference is rating: HexPN at 5.0 against V2 VPN's 4.5. HexPN also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 3) and update cadence (every 10 days vs every 3 months). V2 VPN's advantage is ratings volume (24 vs 3). On price, review sentiment, ads and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. V2 VPN sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per 7 days. HexPN asks for nothing beyond the download.

HexPN holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: V2 VPN has 24 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews split almost evenly too, at 100% and 100% positive.

HexPN ships an update every 10 days, V2 VPN every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on October 8, 2026 and October 5, 2026 respectively.
