# PermitLog vs TextTrace

The clearest difference is update cadence: TextTrace at every 3 days against PermitLog's every 10 days. On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. PermitLog sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and TextTrace sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

PermitLog ships an update every 10 days, TextTrace every 3 days. The most recent releases landed on October 2, 2026 and October 5, 2026 respectively.
