# Nous vs Nightstand

The clearest difference is ratings volume: Nightstand at 10 against Nous's 1. Nous's advantage is iOS requirement (18.0 vs 26.4). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Nous sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month and Nightstand sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 5.0 for Nous against 4.9 for Nightstand. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Nightstand has 10 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Nous ships an update weekly, Nightstand every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 18, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
