# SmartPrep vs TastySave

The clearest difference is update cadence: TastySave at every 5 days against SmartPrep's every 2 months. On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. SmartPrep sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $12.99 per month and TastySave sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $7.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

SmartPrep ships an update every 2 months, TastySave every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on October 7, 2026 and October 1, 2026 respectively.
