# HueChat vs alt.chat

The clearest difference is update cadence: alt.chat at every 2 days against HueChat's every 11 days. alt.chat also leads on iOS requirement (14.0 vs 26.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

HueChat ships an update every 11 days, alt.chat every 2 days. The most recent releases landed on October 14, 2026 and September 30, 2026 respectively.
