# Gecko Move vs Thumbslap

The clearest difference is ads: Thumbslap at none against Gecko Move's shown. Thumbslap also leads on iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.0). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Gecko Move sells 4 one-off in-app purchases and Thumbslap sells 4 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Gecko Move ships an update every 10 days, Thumbslap every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 31, 2026 and November 5, 2026 respectively.
