# krakentools vs Time to Surface

The clearest difference is update cadence: Time to Surface at every 3 days against krakentools's every 8 days. krakentools's advantage is device support (3 vs 1) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 17.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. krakentools sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month and Time to Surface sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
