# Gecko Drums vs RhythmForge

The clearest difference is monetization model: Gecko Drums at free against RhythmForge's freemium. Gecko Drums also leads on device support (3 vs 1). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Gecko Drums sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and RhythmForge sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Gecko Drums ships an update every 10 days, RhythmForge fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 31, 2026 and November 5, 2026 respectively.
