# Ember vs Logd

The clearest difference is update cadence: Logd at every 3 days against Ember's every 10 days. Logd also leads on iOS requirement (15.1 vs 26.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Ember sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month and Logd sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Ember ships an update every 10 days, Logd every 3 days. The most recent releases landed on October 9, 2026 and October 12, 2026 respectively.
