# Ember vs Candle

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Candle at none against Ember's 3. Candle also leads on iOS requirement (17.0 vs 26.0). Ember's advantage is ratings volume (6 vs 1). On price, rating, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Ember sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month. Candle asks for nothing beyond the download.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 5.0 for Ember against 5.0 for Candle. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Ember has 6 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.
