# Document Lens vs Boardcut

The clearest difference is update cadence: Boardcut at every 4 days against Document Lens's every 10 days. Document Lens's advantage is device support (3 vs 1) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 17.0). On price, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Document Lens sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Boardcut sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Document Lens ships an update every 10 days, Boardcut every 4 days. The most recent releases landed on September 28, 2026 and October 9, 2026 respectively.
