# PrepFast vs Scribl

The clearest difference is update cadence: Scribl at fortnightly against PrepFast's every 6 weeks. PrepFast's advantage is iOS requirement (15.1 vs 17.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. PrepFast sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per 7 days and Scribl sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

PrepFast ships an update every 6 weeks, Scribl fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 2, 2026 and October 8, 2026 respectively.
