# TryMakeUp vs Memorial Log

The clearest difference is ads: Memorial Log at none against TryMakeUp's shown. Memorial Log also leads on update cadence (every 5 days vs every 3 weeks). On price, in-app purchases, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. TryMakeUp sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per 7 days and Memorial Log sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

TryMakeUp ships an update every 3 weeks, Memorial Log every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on October 31, 2026 and November 6, 2026 respectively.
