# Idle Rune Foundry vs EmberForge

The clearest difference is rating: Idle Rune Foundry at 5.0 against EmberForge's 3.7. Idle Rune Foundry also leads on monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases). EmberForge's advantage is update cadence (every 5 days vs every 2 weeks) and ratings volume (6 vs 1). On price, in-app purchases and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Idle Rune Foundry sells 5 one-off in-app purchases and EmberForge sells 8 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Idle Rune Foundry ships an update every 2 weeks, EmberForge every 5 days. Both last shipped on October 31, 2026.
