# Scroll vs Do Instead

The clearest difference is update cadence: Do Instead at every 5 days against Scroll's every 3 weeks. Scroll's advantage is device support (3 vs 1) and iOS requirement (15.1 vs 17.0). On price, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Scroll sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month and Do Instead sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Scroll ships an update every 3 weeks, Do Instead every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on October 4, 2026 and October 19, 2026 respectively.
