# Apex vs Sprint U

The clearest difference is monetization model: Apex at freemium against Sprint U's subscription. Apex also leads on iOS requirement (15.1 vs 26.0). Sprint U's advantage is update cadence (every 3 days vs every 11 days). On price, rating, review sentiment and ratings volume there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Apex sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month and Sprint U sells 9 in-app purchases, starting at $7.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 5.0 for Apex against 5.0 for Sprint U. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 6 and 4 respectively. Written reviews split almost evenly too, at 100% and 100% positive.

Apex ships an update every 11 days, Sprint U every 3 days. The most recent releases landed on October 4, 2026 and October 28, 2026 respectively.
