# TOMO vs passNote

The clearest difference is ads: passNote at none against TOMO's shown. TOMO's advantage is iOS requirement (16.0 vs 18.0). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. TOMO sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month and passNote sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $2.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

TOMO ships an update every 4 days, passNote every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on October 12, 2026 and October 5, 2026 respectively.
