# Pith vs LockNote

The clearest difference is update cadence: LockNote at every 3 days against Pith's every 3 weeks. On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Pith sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month and LockNote sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Pith ships an update every 3 weeks, LockNote every 3 days. The most recent releases landed on October 5, 2026 and October 3, 2026 respectively.
