# Lynx vs After Text

The clearest difference is ads: Lynx at none against After Text's shown. Lynx also leads on iOS requirement (15.0 vs 17.0). After Text's advantage is update cadence (every 5 days vs monthly). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Lynx sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days and After Text sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
