# ManiShelf vs ComicMax

The clearest difference is update cadence: ManiShelf at weekly against ComicMax's every 3 weeks. ComicMax's advantage is iOS requirement (13 vs 18.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. ManiShelf sells 4 one-off in-app purchases and ComicMax sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $19.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

ManiShelf ships an update weekly, ComicMax every 3 weeks. Both last shipped on October 4, 2026.
